King Charles III of Great Britain has stripped his younger brother, Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, of his Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Garter and Knight of the Royal Victorian Order. This was announced in an official decree published on November 30 in the government publication The Gazette.
According to the document, on behalf of the Central Chancery of the Orders of Knighthood, the King revoked Andrew's appointments to these honorary titles, received in 2006 and 2011 respectively, and removed his name from the registers of both orders.
Previously, in October 2025, Prince Andrew renounced the title of Duke of York and other royal honours. He must also vacate his residence, Royal Lodge, Windsor. These decisions are related to long-standing allegations against the prince and his connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
