The Institute of Engineering, Technical, and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan awarded the winners of a competition on STEM teaching methods held among teachers of higher and secondary vocational engineering institutions, according to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."
Within the framework of the competition, educators from across the country presented their methodological developments in STEM education to participants through open lessons on nanotechnology, chemical engineering, energy, biotechnology, agriculture, information and communication systems, computer technology, and innovative economics.
Teachers from 11 higher and secondary vocational educational institutions of Turkmenistan took part in the competition.
Meryem Kurbanberdiyeva, a lecturer at the Oguzhan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, won first place in the competition. Her methodological development was a shining example of how theoretical knowledge can be effectively integrated with practical skills within STEM education.
Second place was shared by Serdar Meredov, a teacher at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, and Mirjan Sharipov, a teacher at the Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan.
3rd place was taken by Dunyagozel Charyeva (Yakayev International Oil and Gas University), Arzygul Hydyrova (S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University) and Tavus Mamedova (State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan).
The winners were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts from the Institute of Engineering, Technical, and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan.
The best teaching methods will be recommended for study and dissemination in engineering universities and vocational schools across the country.
