The Russian State Duma is discussing an initiative to restrict incoming calls from foreign phone numbers. The proposal is aimed at combating fraudulent schemes, according to gazeta.ru.
According to the proposed plan, subscribers will be able to independently block calls from international numbers. For those who don't activate full blocking, a marking system is planned: incoming calls from international numbers will be marked with a special indicator, allowing subscribers to identify the origin of the call before answering it.
The initiative is currently under consideration in the State Duma.
