During the holidays, shopping malls in Ashgabat and Turkmenistan's provinces will sell various goods and souvenirs featuring commemorative symbols commemorating the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality and the International Year of Peace and Trust, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
At a regular meeting of the State Organizing Committee for Events Commemorating the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th Anniversary of the Fatherland's Permanent Neutrality, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of organizing trade in commemorative merchandise. The meeting was attended by leaders of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, and heads of the country's military and law enforcement agencies.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that participants in large-scale exhibitions and international events dedicated to these occasions must be provided with services in accordance with the national traditions of Turkmen hospitality.
The National Leader emphasized that the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the Fatherland's permanent neutrality must not overlook any aspect related to demonstrating the country's peace-loving policy to the world. Every effort must be made to hold international events and celebrations at the highest level.
At the conclusion of the meeting of the State Organizing Committee, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished everyone success in their work to host high-level international events, demonstrate to the world the noble traditions of the Turkmen people and their hospitality, expressed in the wise sayings "A guest is above a father" and "A guest brings prosperity," and for the comprehensive prosperity of the Motherland.
A representative forum is scheduled to take place on December 12.
