Turkmenistan is interested in expanding economic cooperation with Tatarstan, including in aircraft, helicopter, and shipbuilding. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Perhat Yagshiyev at a meeting of the joint Turkmen-Tatarstan working group.
"Mutually beneficial trade and economic relations are an important component of our partnership. We have significant reserves and potential for increasing economic cooperation and export-import operations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan," the deputy minister said.
He noted that Tatarstan is one of the most developed regions in Russia, particularly in industrial production. "We are interested in your experience in economic development in sectors such as aircraft manufacturing, helicopter manufacturing, and shipbuilding," Yagshiyev emphasized.
In turn, he drew attention to the country's industrial potential. "Turkmenistan produces over 20 million tons of petroleum products and has a wide range of chemical, construction, textile, and agricultural products. It is important to strengthen our cooperation and integration," Yagshiyev added.
The 10th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation was held in Ashgabat on November 20-21.
