Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree approving the composition of the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation from the Turkmen side, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.
The document was adopted with the aim of further enhancing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar, as well as significantly expanding bilateral trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian relations.
As previously reported, the next meeting of the joint commission is scheduled for November of this year in Doha. The agenda includes issues of strengthening bilateral partnership in trade, economics, investment, finance, banking, energy, transport and communications, information technology, agriculture, and environmental protection.
Opportunities for enhancing cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, including in the areas of education, culture, youth policy, sports, and tourism, will also be considered.
