The opening of the Days of Cinema of Central Asia and Azerbaijan took place at the National Cinema Palace of Uzbekistan, reports uza.uz.
The event began with a roundtable discussion featuring foreign delegations. The opening ceremony was attended by Shukhrat Rizayev, Director of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Rashad Azizov, Director General of the Cinematography Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Adilet Omarov, Deputy Chairman of the State Center for Support of National Cinema of Kazakhstan; guests from Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan; and media representatives.
The event noted that creative ties between filmmakers in Turkic states are strengthening and reaching a new level of development. Various international film festivals, creative competitions, and joint filmmaking processes contribute to the further strengthening of this cooperation.
The Cinema Days of Central Asia and Azerbaijan serve as an important platform for strengthening cultural ties, bringing people together through art, and sharing experiences.
