Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that the 2026 World Cup will be the last of his career. The 39-year-old made the announcement during a speech at a forum in Saudi Arabia, according to championat.com.
"Will the next World Cup be the last of my career? Yes, it's true, because I'll be 41 years old. As I said before, I'm enjoying the moment," Ronaldo said.
The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada from June 11 to July 19. This will be the Portuguese forward's fifth World Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the captain of Saudi Arabian club “Al-Nasr” and the Portuguese national team. He won the European Championship with the national team. He previously played for “Manchester United”, “Real Madrid”, and “Juventus”.
