On November 9, celebrations were held on the embankment of the Karakum River, which flows through Ashgabat, to mark the Harvest Festival, symbolizing the generosity of the Turkmen land and the country's prosperity.

According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, the ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, Deputy Prime Ministers, members of the Halk Maslahaty, heads of ministries and industry departments, representatives of public organizations, diplomatic missions of foreign countries accredited in Turkmenistan, leading agricultural workers, and honorary elders.

Participants and guests of the festival were greeted with a traditional national treat—pishma—and various sweets. Pop singers and creative groups from the regions and the capital performed on a makeshift stage.
Within the framework of the celebrations, on behalf of agricultural workers, the President of Turkmenistan was presented with a magnificent Ahal-Teke horse named Sahabatly, born in 2022 and a descendant of Perman and Gaymak, in honor of the widely celebrated Harvest Festival.

An open-air exhibition of the country's agricultural and processing industry achievements was held.
The section dedicated to the achievements of Turkmen cotton growers features snow-white bolls of "white gold," samples of the products obtained from processing raw cotton. As is well known, today Turkmen cotton is not only the main raw material for the national textile industry but also a highly valuable export product.

The exhibition's guests and participants showed great interest in the stands dedicated to the private sector's successes in the agricultural sector, as well as achievements in land reclamation, horse breeding, livestock farming, environmental protection, and the food, processing, and textile industries.

Cauldrons were set up next to the white yurts, where traditional dishes were prepared according to the traditions of a large Turkmen feast.
Competitions in goresh wrestling, the national games of tug-of-war, yaglyga tovusmak, as well as chess and checkers, revealed the best.

To celebrate the Harvest Festival, the country's regions hosted ceremonial meetings and celebrations of leading agricultural workers, as well as concerts and other cultural events.
