Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov announced the country's readiness to deepen practical cooperation with the United States in key economic sectors. He made this announcement at a business conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the "Central Asia + USA" format, which was held at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
"The current business conference, held with such a representative attendance, confirms the transition from plans to practical cooperation," the head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry emphasized. He noted that the C5+1 format allows for the use of financial, organizational, technical, and other resources to implement large-scale joint projects.
Meredov identified priority areas of economic cooperation for Turkmenistan: advanced technologies, digitalization, artificial intelligence, green standards, energy, and transport. He stated that the foundation of cooperation is the diversification of energy and transport flows, ensuring their reliability and stability, and taking into account the interests of all parties.
The Minister reminded that, guided by these approaches, Turkmenistan has already implemented a number of major energy and logistics projects in the region. At the conference, the Turkmen exhibit showcased the country's achievements, economic successes, and national historical and cultural values.
