Starting January 1, 2026, US citizens will be able to visit Uzbekistan visa-free for up to 30 days. The corresponding decree was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on November 3, according to the UzA news agency.
According to the document, the new measure is aimed at developing trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations between the two countries, as well as promoting tourism.
Currently, visa-free travel for up to 30 days is available to American tourists aged 55 and older. This rule was introduced in 2021 and also applies to citizens of a number of other countries.
Plans to waive visa requirements for all US citizens were mentioned in the President's May decree on the development of the tourism industry. The same document instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan to negotiate with the US side on simplifying visa requirements for Uzbek citizens entering the US.
