Today, Turkmenistan's “Ahal” Football Club will play a match in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League 2 group stage against Iranian side “Sepahan”. The match at “Naghsh-e Jahan” stadium in Isfahan kicks off at 21:00 Ashgabat time. The live stream is available on the AFC YouTube channel.
“Sepahan” is a direct competitor for the Turkmen club in the playoffs. In the previous round, “Ahal” lost 0-1 to the Iranian team.
The “Turkmennebitonumleri” General Administration team won 1-0 against Indian side “Mohun Bagan” in the current AFC Champions League 2 competition, but the result was annulled due to the Indian club's disqualification.
After three rounds, Jordanian champions “Al Hussein” lead group C with six points. “Sepahan” has three points, and “Ahal” is currently without a point.
The current AFC Champions League II group stage features 31 teams from 22 countries, divided geographically into Western and Eastern zones. The top two teams from each group will advance to the round of 16.
