American company OpenAI has updated its policies for the use of its artificial intelligence products. Under the new rules, ChatGPT and the company's other AI models will no longer provide medical and legal advice.
The changes are announced on the organization's official website. In the legal field, the neural network will no longer be able to provide individual advice, assess the legal risks of specific situations, develop defense strategies in court, or create procedural documents.
In the medical field, the ban includes making diagnoses, prescribing medications, selecting dosages, and interpreting medical images—X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and photographs of skin lesions.
For requests of this nature, ChatGPT will provide only general information and recommend contacting licensed professionals such as doctors or lawyers. These restrictions apply to all company products, including the chat interface and API.
