The CIET 2025 International Conference and Exhibition, which opened in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, discussed issues of industrial digital transformation, the implementation of "blue ammonia" technologies, and the development of green construction. Held under the motto "Smart Construction. Clean Energy. Sustainable Future," the forum served as a platform for showcasing new investment opportunities in key economic sectors, according to the Turkmen Energy Forum.
Opening the plenary session, Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov called the forum "a striking example of Turkmenistan's innovative and open commitment to partnership and development." He noted the introduction of modern technologies in construction and industry, as well as the implementation of major infrastructure projects—from the Garabogaz Bay Bridge to the Turkmenbashy-Garabogaz-Kazakhstan border highway.
"Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan is strengthening its industrial might while maintaining a commitment to environmental values and sustainable growth," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Minister of Industry and Construction Production Toiguli Nurov spoke about the digital transformation of enterprises and the construction of modern ceramic tile and glass factories in Baharly and Ashgabat. "Each new factory is a step toward the development of a self-sufficient, export-oriented industry capable of creating jobs and introducing innovation," the minister emphasized.
Tanryguly Atayev, Chairman of the “Turkmenhimiya” State Concern, presented a chemical industry development program aimed at deep processing of natural gas and the implementation of "blue ammonia" technologies. "The ammonia-urea plant under construction in the Balkan region will become a new model of environmentally friendly production in Central Asia," he noted.
Agriculture Minister Charyar Chetiev linked industrial innovation with ecology and sustainable agriculture, emphasizing the introduction of biotechnology and digital solutions into the agro-industrial complex.
Tomohiro Takashina, Director of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Representative Office in Turkmenistan, recalled twenty years of cooperation, including the construction of the GTG-1 plant – the world's first commercial plant for producing gasoline from natural gas. "GTG-1 has become a symbol of friendship between Japan and Turkmenistan and an example of the implementation of green innovations in the energy sector," he said, announcing plans to build a second complex, GTG-2, in collaboration with Rönesans and Itochu.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries President and CEO Eisaku Ito noted the prospects for applying advanced Japanese technologies in gas processing and energy-efficient construction.
Speakers included Ahmet Çalık Holding, Chairman of the Board of Directors, who emphasized Turkmenistan's strategic importance in the regional energy and industrial sectors; Erman Ilıcak, Chairman of Rönesans Holding, who spoke about joint infrastructure and construction initiatives; and Xue Danfeng, Vice President of China Energy International Group Co. Ltd., who presented the company's plans for developing “green” energy and digital technologies.
The plenary session was moderated by Nor Isham Abdullah, Chief Operating Officer of PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd, who emphasized the importance of strengthening international industrial cooperation and promoting sustainable investment partnerships in Turkmenistan.
B2B and B2G meetings are discussing prospects for joint projects in the fields of chemistry, energy efficiency, and intelligent construction. Forum participants include Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Çalık Holding, Rönesans Holding, Interbudmontazh, POSCO International, Bitdeer Technologies Group, and other global companies.
The CIET 2025 Forum is taking place November 3-4. It is organized by the State Concern “Turkmenhimiya”, the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, the State Agency for Road Construction Management, the Ashgabat City Administration, and the Turkmen Energy Forum.
