Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed a congratulatory message to participants of the international exhibition and conference "Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Industries of Turkmenistan."
Below is the text of the Address, which was published on the website of the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
"Dear participants of the international exhibition and conference!
I sincerely congratulate you on the opening of the International Exhibition and Conference "Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Industries of Turkmenistan," held in a beautiful corner of our homeland—the Avaza National Tourist Zone—during the International Year of Peace and Trust in the Era of the Renaissance of a New Era of a Powerful State!
The international exhibition and conference, organized in anticipation of the 30th anniversary of independent Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, are of great importance for demonstrating the country's industrial potential, implementing priority programs for the development of the national economy by diversifying the construction and industrial sectors, and expanding and creating new capacities for existing production of products that are in high demand on global markets. Therefore, I am firmly convinced that this important event held in Avaza will contribute to the industrialization and socio-economic development of the regions, the introduction of modern technologies in the complex's industries, and the active implementation of the concept of a digital economy in the era of the Renaissance, a new era of a powerful state.
Dear participants of the international exhibition and conference!
Turkmenistan is a developing country, a powerful state. Construction work underway in all regions of the Fatherland clearly demonstrates to the world that our independent homeland is a strong and developing nation in all areas. Modern residential complexes meeting the latest modern standards are currently being built throughout the country. New model cities, towns, and modern villages have emerged, embodying the creative spirit of our era in their architecture. Educational and sports facilities, residential buildings, parks, luxury hotels, sports and health centers, medical centers, sanatoriums, highways, large industrial complexes, and other buildings and structures have been built. The impressive scale of construction is a shining example of the country's concern for its people and the successful implementation of Hero Arkadag's principle: "The state is for the people!"
It's worth emphasizing that the history of this beautiful city—the heart of our Fatherland—is steeped in great achievements and successes. In this new era, white-marble Ashgabat—the capital of independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan—has been transformed beyond recognition before our very eyes, becoming one of the most beautiful and well-appointed cities in the world. We attach particular importance to the implementation of a large-scale urban development program and the creation of a unique image for the country's capital, rightfully called the Pearl of Asia.
Our homeland is developing day by day and, over the years of independence, has become a vast construction site. In particular, the rapid construction of the city of Arkadag, unique in the region, serves as a shining example of the great achievements of independent Turkmenistan.
The city of Arkadag, built in accordance with the "smart city" concept, is becoming a shining symbol of the country's rapid development. Construction is currently progressing rapidly on the second phase of this modern city, built through the efforts of Hero Arkadag and symbolizing our successes and comprehensive development in the new era.
Today, our beloved Motherland is confidently moving along the path of progress and prosperity, becoming one of the world's most powerful, sustainably developing nations. Along with all sectors of the national economy, the country's industrial and construction sectors are rapidly developing, successfully implementing the goals of creating innovative industries, constructing large industrial enterprises, expanding production capacity to produce import-substituting goods, enhancing export potential, and integrating the digital economy into these sectors.
This is clearly demonstrated by the commissioning of the second phase of the Lebap and Baharden cement plants of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan in 2024, as well as the ceremonial opening and commissioning of the Bäherden ceramics plant in the Baharden district of the Ahal velayat and the glass production workshop built on the territory of an industrial complex in the north of the capital, which took place this significant year.
The chemical industry is one of the most promising and dynamically developing sectors of the national economy, attracting significant investment and creating all the necessary capabilities. Large-scale production of mineral fertilizers and the expansion of their types create the conditions for fully satisfying the country's agricultural sector's needs for mineral fertilizers domestically and enabling their export abroad. The construction and commissioning in recent years of new, powerful enterprises within the structure of the State Concern Türkmenhimiýa, equipped with modern technologies, serves as a powerful stimulus for the development of not only the chemical industry, but also the entire industrial sector.
The country places great importance on the accelerated development of the electric power industry. Effective work is underway to fundamentally modernize the industry's material and technical infrastructure, which contributes to the reliable supply of electricity to our cities and villages, addresses important socioeconomic development challenges, and expands electricity export opportunities.
Currently, the country is undertaking large-scale efforts to develop road construction, create new international transport corridors, and consistently increase freight and passenger traffic volumes. A striking example of this is the modernization of road transport infrastructure and the construction of new highways and bridges using advanced technologies.
I am confident that this exhibition and conference will play a significant role in the exchange of experience between domestic specialists and representatives of foreign companies, the establishment of large-scale cooperation, and the discussion of mutually beneficial projects.
Dear participants of the international exhibition and conference!
Once again, I sincerely congratulate you on the opening of the International Exhibition and Conference "Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Industries of Turkmenistan"!
I wish you good health, longevity, family well-being, a peaceful and happy life, and great success in your work for the continued economic prosperity of your beloved Fatherland!
