Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated workers in the country's construction and industrial complexes on their professional holiday, celebrated annually on November 3. The text of the congratulatory message was published in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan."
The head of state noted that, in accordance with the country's economic development strategy, significant progress is being achieved across all sectors of the economy through diversification. "Turkmenistan confidently ranks among the world's industrially developed nations," the address stated.
According to the President, in the new historical era, the construction and industrial complex has become a priority segment of the national economy. Hundreds of residential buildings, modern socio-cultural, and industrial facilities have been commissioned in recent years.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov particularly highlighted the construction of the first phase of Arkadag, the first "smart" city in Central Asia. The second phases of the Lebap and Bäherden cement plants were commissioned in 2024, and this year, a Bäherden ceramics plant in the Ahal region and a glass production facility in northern Ashgabat opened.
The President emphasized the important role of the electric power industry in the development of the national economy. The Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line project is being successfully implemented. The government continues to strengthen the industry's material and technical infrastructure and implement modern technologies.
In the chemical industry, documents were signed this year for the construction of a urea plant and the overhaul of a polymer plant in the Balkan velayat. The foundation of a mineral fertilizer production complex was recently laid in Turkmenabat. The head of state also noted the construction of the 600-kilometer Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway.
