Cotton growers in Turkmenistan's Balkan velayat have completed the harvest and fulfilled their contractual obligations to harvest raw cotton, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The agency notes that the successful completion of the harvest was made possible by government support for agricultural producers, including the provision of mineral fertilizers, high-quality seeds, and modern equipment from leading foreign companies, as well as timely payments for delivered products.
The region's rural workers expressed gratitude to the country's leadership for creating conditions conducive to the industry's development.
It was previously reported that the cotton harvest plan in the Balkan velayat was set at 16 thousand tons from an area of 13 thousand hectares.
In total, over 1,2 million tons of "white gold" are planned for harvest in 2025.
