On November 5, Ashgabat residents and visitors are invited to the opening of an exhibition of works by People's Artist of Turkmenistan Annadurdy Almamedov and his students.
The exhibition entitled “Mekdebe öwrülen ömür” will open at 16:00 in the Exhibition Hall of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.
Annadurdy Almamedov was born on June 24, 1937, in the village of Bendesen, Kizyl-Arvat Etrap, Balkan velayat. From the mid-1960s to the 1970s, his primary creative achievements were in theatrical set design. From the late 1970s to the present, he has worked in easel painting, particularly genre painting and landscapes. Since the 1990s, the artist has focused more on graphics.
In one of his interviews with Turkmenportal, Annadurdy Almamedov admitted:
"Despite my age, I constantly work with students. I want to share the secrets of my craft with budding artists and cultivate a talented generation. If you dedicate four hours a day to work, you can accomplish a great deal in that time."
