The “Turkmengaz” state concern and the German company Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG plan to soon sign a contract for the repair of compressors and power turbines worth a total of 108 million USD. This was announced by Berdimyrat Amanov, Deputy Chairman of “Turkmengaz”, during the Days of Turkmenistan's Economy in Germany.
"The “Turkmengaz” State Concern has a long and successful history of collaborating with companies from the Federal Republic of Germany, and we attach great importance to further strengthening this mutually beneficial partnership, which serves the long-term interests of our countries. We plan to sign a contract for the repair of compressors and power turbines worth a total of 108 million USD in the near future," Amanov said.
He noted the fruitful partnership between “Turkmengaz” and Siemens Energy within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation on the modernization of compressor stations, signed on November 28, 2023.
According to the deputy head of the concern, Turkmenistan also cooperates with the major chemical company BASF. Between 2020 and 2025, 2,152 tons of chemicals worth over €22 million were purchased through the manufacturer's trading partner. Amanov proposed considering the possibility of concluding a long-term contract directly with BASF SE.
"Without resting on our laurels, we are ready to chart new paths in our mutually beneficial cooperation. “Turkmengaz” confirms its plans to further strengthen its partnership with German companies in areas such as the procurement of various types of pipes, chemical reagents, equipment, and spare parts, as well as the construction of compressor stations," the company representative concluded.
