Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Saeed Al Tayer, Chairman of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and Dragon Oil, and Abdulkareem Al Maazmi, Acting Chairman of Dragon Oil, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.
The guests thanked the head of state for his hospitality and noted the success of Turkmenistan's policy to diversify its fuel and energy sector and the country's growing reputation as an energy power.
ENOC and Dragon Oil executives emphasized their privilege to work in Turkmenistan, which has a favorable investment climate, and expressed their appreciation for the continued support of their operations in the Turkmen market.
As noted at the meeting, relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE are developing dynamically based on principles of mutual respect, both bilaterally and within the UN and other international organizations. The President emphasized that Turkmenistan is ready to consider specific proposals from ENOC and Dragon Oil to expand the partnership, noting the positive experience of cooperation with Dragon Oil.
At the end of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence in the continued effective development of mutually beneficial partnerships and wished the companies' representatives success in their work.
