Today, the new Ambassador of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan, Bandaru Wilsonbabu, presented copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov.
During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of political and diplomatic dialogue, as well as trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
The two countries' interactions within international and regional structures were discussed. In this regard, the Republic of India's consistent support for Turkmenistan's policy of permanent neutrality and its international initiatives for peace and sustainable development was emphasized.
The diplomats praised bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture and education, exchanging views on its further development.
The ambassador expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for its hospitality and assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen friendly ties, the source noted.
