On October 13, the Turkmen women's football team will begin the competition for a spot in the 2026 AFC Asian Cup finals, which will be held from April 30 to May 17 in China. The Turkmen team will face Thailand and Nepal in group F. All group stage matches will be held in Chonburi, Thailand.

According to the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, the team held a preparatory training camp in Ashgabat under the guidance of head coach Boris Borovik and his assistants Begench Garayev, Khalida Eshniyazova, and Maria Charyeva. The roster for the tournament includes 19 players.
