This afternoon, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, headed to the Reception Palace – the venue for the Second Central Asia-Russia Summit, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
"The head of Turkmenistan was warmly welcomed by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. Following an official joint photograph of the heads of state participating in the summit, the summit meeting in the Central Asia-Russia format began," the statement said.
The heads of state of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia are participating in the summit. The leaders will discuss cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, investment, logistics, energy, and security.
