Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić-Radman, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The head of state noted that cooperation between Turkmenistan and Croatia is based on the principles of friendship, equality, and mutual benefit. The parties emphasized the dynamic development of political and diplomatic relations: Croatia co-authors constructive initiatives by Turkmenistan at the UN, and Ashgabat supported Zagreb in elections to international organizations.
The Croatian minister's visit includes a regular meeting of the Turkmen-Croatian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. It will address the development of intergovernmental partnerships in trade, economics, energy, transport, and other priority areas.
The President of Turkmenistan confirmed the country's interest in consistently developing bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. He expressed his willingness to consider specific proposals from the Croatian side in these areas.
