The coaching staff of the Turkmenistan national team, led by Rovshan Meredov, announced the team's roster for the October 2027 Asian Cup qualifying matches against Sri Lanka.
The first leg will take place on October 9 in Colombo, kicking off at 3:45 PM Ashgabat time. The return leg will take place on October 14 at “Arkadag” stadium, marking the national team's first game there. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:45 PM local time.
Three foreign players were included in the roster: Mikhail Titov (“Uzgen”), Meylis Diniev (“Kyrgyzaltyn”), and Teymur Charyev (“Torpedo-BelAZ”). Ruslan Mingazov (“Kitchee”) and Vepa Jumayev (“Vitebsk”), who play abroad, were not included.
Shanazar Tirkishov and Dayanch Meredov will miss the matches due to disqualification for an accumulation of yellow cards, but they may be added to the squad for the return match.
“Arkadag” defender Mekan Saparov has returned to the national team after recovering from an injury sustained in the Turkmenistan Super Cup match. Also included in the squad is 36-year-old “Ahal” midfielder Elman Tagayev.
