The price of Bitcoin has broken its all-time high, surpassing 125 000 USD, according to cryptocurrency exchange Binance. The new record was reached on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
The previous high was set on August 14, 2025, at 124 470 USD. Over the past week, Bitcoin has shown an 11,5% increase, continuing the upward trend that began in early October.
The cryptocurrency market's growth in early October was driven by large-scale institutional investment through exchange-traded funds (ETFs). In the first three days of October, the volume of Bitcoin ETF investments exceeded previous levels.
Analysts predict further Bitcoin growth in the fourth quarter. Frank Cappelleri, president and founder of the analytics firm CappThesis, told CNBC that Bitcoin could reach new peaks as the upward rally is already gaining momentum.
The cryptocurrency's current rise comes amid an unstable economic situation and record gold prices, which are trading near 3 900 USD per ounce.
