During a regular meeting of the State Security Council, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov appointed a new Deputy Prosecutor General, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
First-class lawyer Eziz Agayev has been appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan, relieving him of his post as Prosecutor of the Kunyaurgench etrap of the Dashoguz velayat, according to a decree issued by the head of state.
Agayev reportedly replaced Justice Advisor Rahim Atayev in this position, who was dismissed from his post “due to the expiration of his term of office.”
During the Security Council meeting, the head of Turkmenistan also heard a report from the country's Prosecutor General, Begmurat Muhamedov, who outlined the results of work for the first nine months of 2025, the comprehensive measures taken to ensure oversight of compliance with the provisions of regulatory legal acts, as well as the application of prosecutorial measures and the implementation of the Prosecutor's Office Development Program.
