Kazakhstan provided Tajikistan with 5 thousand tons of fuel oil worth approximately 1,65 million USD in humanitarian aid, Tengrinews.kz reported, citing Kazakhstan's Agency for International Development (KazAID).
Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Tajikistan, Valikhan Turekhanov, presented a fuel supply certificate to the leadership of the Agency for State Material Reserves under the government of the republic in Dushanbe. He stated that the decision to provide humanitarian aid worth 893,7 million tenge (equivalent to 1,65 million USD) was made by Kazakhstan's leadership as part of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
According to KazAID, over the past five years, the total volume of humanitarian aid provided by Kazakhstan to Tajikistan has exceeded 21 million USD.
