Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated Ashgabat's commitment to developing bilateral cooperation with Beijing, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

The head of state sent congratulations to PRC President Xi Jinping, Premier of the State Council of the PRC Li Qiang and the people of China on the occasion of the National Day of the PRC.

In his message, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted China's achievements in economic development and improving the well-being of the population, as well as the successful implementation of reforms to advance Chinese modernization.

"Turkmenistan places great importance on developing bilateral cooperation with China. Our countries provide mutual support on the international stage, trade turnover increases every year, and cultural exchanges are encouraged," the message reads.

The President of Turkmenistan noted the significance of his recent visit to China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin as a guest of honor. He emphasized that the meeting in Beijing was held in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the results of the visit will serve as an incentive to expand mutually beneficial partnerships, and that strategic Turkmen-Chinese cooperation will continue to develop for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.

The head of Turkmenistan wished Xi Jinping and Li Qiang good health and success in their government work, and the people of China peace, well-being, and prosperity.
