Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin sent a message of congratulations to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the country's Independence Day. The text of the message was published on the website of the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
"On behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation and myself, I congratulate you on Turkmenistan's national holiday – the 34th anniversary of its declaration of independence," the statement reads.
Mishustin noted that Russia and Turkmenistan enjoy a relationship of friendship and strategic partnership.
"In pursuance of decisions taken at the highest level, trade, economic, investment, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation is steadily expanding, and major joint projects in various fields are being implemented," the Prime Minister emphasized.
The head of the Russian government expressed confidence that active government engagement will facilitate the further expansion of practical cooperation and the advancement of new promising initiatives. "This fully meets the interests of the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan," he added.
Mishustin wished the President of Turkmenistan good health, happiness, and continued success in his government work, and the country's citizens well-being and prosperity.
