Turkmenistan recently received an industrial flow of natural gas from the 241st production well of the Atbay gas condensate field in the Central Karakum Desert.
According to ussatnews.com, drillers successfully completed work at a depth of 1200 meters. Blasting operations in the productive layer at an interval of 1104 to 1101 meters yielded high-purity, hydrogen sulfide-free natural gas.
This production well is estimated to produce 215,9 cubic meters of high-quality gas daily.
As the source notes, at present, drillers from the “Türkmengazburawlaýyş” department of the state concern “Turkmengas” continue their work on production wells 110, 231, 253, 260, 261, 263, 266 and 283 at the “Galkynysh” gas field, one of the largest in the world in terms of gas reserves.
