A startup competition for young people in the IT sector, "Turkmenistan – Country of Opportunities," has been announced in Turkmenistan.

The competition, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality, is being held by the Ministry of Education, the Central Council of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization.

According to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," senior high school students, university students, teachers, entrepreneurs, startup team members, independent creators of innovative ideas, and IT and creative industry specialists are invited to participate in the competition.

Those wishing to participate must submit their business projects to the Ashgabat City Committee of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan by October 22 at the following address: Ashgabat, S. Turkmenbashy Avenue, 81, 3rd floor.

Each author may submit only one project for review by the expert committee.

A training program (bootcamp) will be organized for authors of papers that pass the preliminary selection.

Participants' business projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

• Innovation – the project's novelty and originality;
• Socioeconomic Significance – contribution to the country's development, addressing priority issues;
• Implementation – technical and organizational implementation of the project;
• Business Model – economic efficiency, monetization opportunities;
• Teamwork – the participants' social skills;
• Presentation – clarity, persuasiveness, and level of preparation.

The competition results will be announced on November 25. The six authors of the best startups will be announced as winners, and prizes will be awarded among them: 1 first place, 2 second places, and 3 third places.

The winners will be awarded certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, as well as valuable gifts from the competition's main sponsor, “TMT Consulting Group”.

Incentive prizes will be awarded to the authors of business projects recognized by the organizers.

The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan will actively assist in attracting investors to implement economically viable and promising projects that win and excel in the competition.
