Turkmenistan has proposed holding the Caspian Environmental Forum in 2026. This was announced by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the UN General Assembly.

The head of state noted that the country will promote the Caspian Environmental Initiative, which aims to become an international platform for preserving the Caspian Sea ecosystem.
