Turkmenistan has initiated the international forum "Central Asia: Space of Peaceful Coexistence" in cooperation with the UN. This was announced by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the UN General Assembly.
"Central Asia, which for centuries served as a bridge between East and West, is today called upon to revive its historic mission – to become a space for dialogue, cooperation, and the convergence of values and ideological perspectives," the head of Turkmenistan emphasized.
The forum will be attended by countries of the region, other interested states and international institutions.
