Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to pay an official visit to the republic, according to the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan."
"I look forward to your official visit to Kazakhstan, which will be a significant milestone in the history of bilateral relations and will give a powerful impetus to the entire spectrum of interstate cooperation," the publication quotes the Kazakh leader as saying.
The invitation was included in a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 44th birthday of the President of Turkmenistan, which was celebrated on September 22. In the message, Tokayev noted Serdar Berdimuhamedov's personal contribution to strengthening Kazakh-Turkmen relations.
"I highly value your personal contribution to strengthening the multifaceted Kazakh-Turkmen relations. I am confident that through joint efforts, we can fully realize the enormous potential of bilateral cooperation, including in the interests of stability and security in Central Asia," the message reads.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished Serdar Berdimuhamedov "inexhaustible energy, family well-being, and new successes in his responsible government work for the benefit of fraternal Turkmenistan."
