President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in connection with his re-election for a new term, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
“On behalf of the people and government of Turkmenistan, as well as on my own behalf, I sincerely congratulate you on your victory in the elections and re-election to the post of Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation,” the head of state’s message reads.
The President of Turkmenistan noted that the results of the vote testify to Minnikhanov's selfless work and the high level of trust of the people of Tatarstan. Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the re-election will contribute to the further development of the republic and the improvement of the well-being of its citizens.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished Rustam Minnikhanov good health, happiness and success in his responsible work, and the people of Tatarstan – peace, well-being and prosperity.
On September 15, Tatarstan held elections for the head of the republic, in which 2,23 million people (75,85% of voters) took part. 88,09% of voters voted for Rustam Minnikhanov, nominated by the United Russia party. The inauguration ceremony of Rustam Minnikhanov is scheduled for September 19.
