The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the Second Ministerial Dialogue on Economy and Energy in the “Central Asia + Japan” format.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, on September 16, a dialogue was held via videoconference and in person, chaired by the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry, with the participation of heads of relevant ministries in the fuel and energy sector of Central Asian countries.
Participants discussed strengthening cooperation in energy, achieving carbon neutrality in the fuel and energy sector, sustainable economic development, and the implementation of new technologies.
Following the dialogue, the participants agreed to develop and support renewable energy projects to achieve carbon neutrality in the region, as well as to strengthen cooperation between the countries of the region and Japan in this area.
