Turkmen-Russian inter-MFA consultations on international information security (IIS) took place in Moscow.
The meeting was organized within the framework of the practical implementation of the Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia for 2025-2026, signed in June of this year.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the consultation agenda covered a wide range of issues related to bilateral and regional cooperation in the area of international information security. The parties emphasized the importance of coordinating approaches at relevant global and regional forums. Special attention was paid to the issue of artificial intelligence.
On the same day, the delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the XIX International Forum "Partnership of the State, Business, and Civil Society in Ensuring International Information Security," which is being held at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs until September 18.
