The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov is on a working visit to Doha to participate in an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of the Member States of the League of the Arab states and the organization of Islamic cooperation, as well as in the emergency Arabian-Islamic summit.
According to the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat expressed its official position in connection with current events in the region, emphasizing the inadmissibility of the use of force to resolve international disputes, which contradicts the principles of the UN Charter and generally recognized norms of international law.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting of the head of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Muhammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Tanya took place.
During the negotiations, Meredov handed over to the Qatar side of the greeting of Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The parties discussed the key areas of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, economic and cultural and humanitarian regions.
