Within the framework of the Erasmus program+ a group of teachers of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan and the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas visited Astana to participate in a four -day seminar.
According to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the visit took place at the invitation of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was organized as part of international initiatives aimed at strengthening the education system in Central Asia in accordance with the principles of environmental, social and managerial education (ESG).
The seminar in Astana, held from September 9 to 12, was devoted to environmental problems and practice of higher education with an emphasis on the application of ESG approaches in the context of Central Asia. The main topics were:
- ESG and the transition to the "green" economy in the European Union and Central Asia;
- Environmental standards, audit and reporting for sustainable development;
- Modern technological solutions for the protection of atmospheric air;
- Sustainable practices in education and production;
- Development of ESG mini-strategies to solve environmental problems.
In conclusion, the participants exchanged views on the implementation of ESG principles in higher education and practice.
