Today, the XXVI Conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World was held in Ashgabat.
The conference was held at the Center of Public Organizations of Turkmenistan in honor of the 34th anniversary of the country's independence.
As the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports, representatives of the Turkmen diasporas from a number of foreign countries and delegates from all regions of Turkmenistan took part in the forum.
During the conference, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov delivered a welcoming address to its participants.
“I am confident that this forum, held on the eve of the national holiday – Independence Day of Turkmenistan, which inspires high goals on the bright path of progress, power and prosperity, will be of great importance in further strengthening our unity, cohesion and fraternal relations,” the President noted in his congratulatory message.
The important issues considered at the latest conference are intended to further enhance the importance of the activities of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World and the development of constructive interstate relations, the source notes.
