The “Turkmenhowayollary” State Service has conducted two large-scale training courses with the assistance of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) to strengthen the national aviation security system. This was reported on the agency's website.
The events were held within the framework of international ICAO standards and European approaches to ensuring aviation security from August 27 to 29 and from September 1 to 5, 2025.
The first stage of the training was devoted to checking security equipment. The participants – employees of the state service "Turkmenhowayollary", international airports of the country, airline "Turkmenistan" and the school for training air transport workers – received knowledge about modern methods of checking and operating inspection equipment, technical maintenance of systems, and standards for the operation of search systems.
Particular attention was paid to practical training in analyzing images in introscopes, testing the operation of explosive detectors and manual inspection systems.
The second training group was aimed at developing skills in the aviation security quality control system. The program included principles for building a state quality control system, conducting supervision and inspections at airports and airlines, methods for training instructors for young specialists, risk analysis and eliminating identified inconsistencies.
An important element has become the methodology for training instructors, which allows experienced specialists to transfer practical knowledge to colleagues, forming a unified standard of professional culture.
The training courses are designed to prepare specialists for upcoming international inspections, including the ICAO USAP-CMA inspection. The knowledge gained will be applied in the daily work of aviation security services.
