Yesterday, a meeting was held between the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Central Asia, Oliver Stolpe.
As reported on the customs service website, the parties discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of the Passenger and Cargo Control Program, implemented with the support of the UNODC.
Particular attention was paid to the activities of existing port control groups in Turkmenbashy, Ashgabat and Farap, as well as plans to create a new group in Serges.
A separate topic of the meeting was the holding of joint events at the Regional Training Center of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
