The Turkmenistan national football team (under 23) defeated the Bhutan team with a score of 2:0 in the qualifying tournament of the Asian Youth Cup. The match took place in the capital of Jordan.
The score in the match was opened by Sohbet Durdyev in the 12th minute, who accurately converted the penalty kick. The final result of the match was set by Dayanch Meredov in the 93rd minute.

Let us remind that earlier in the first round of the qualification, Ahmed Agamuradov's team defeated the Chinese Taipei team with a score of 5:1. In the final match of the group stage, scheduled for September 9, the Turkmen footballers will play against the tournament hosts - the Jordan team.
The Asian Youth Cup qualifying tournament involves 44 teams divided into 11 qualifying groups. The winners of all groups, as well as the four best teams among those who took second place, will advance to the final part of the tournament.
The final tournament of the Asian Youth Cup will be held from 7 to 25 January 2026 in Saudi Arabia.
