An earthquake measuring 5,1 in magnitude struck southeastern Afghanistan at 17:25 GMT on Friday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
According to preliminary data from the center, the epicenter of the tremors was registered at a point with coordinates of 34,54 degrees north latitude and 70.75 degrees east longitude. The earthquake's center was located at a depth of 10 kilometers.
At the time of publication, there was no information about the possible consequences of the earthquake or casualties.
