Mark Zuckerberg, a bankruptcy attorney from Indiana, has filed a lawsuit against Meta. The reason for this is the regular blocking of his business account on Facebook, which the moderation system considers as an attempt to impersonate the company's CEO, who has the same last name as the plaintiff, writes vc.ru.
Over the past eight years, the lawyer's commercial page has been blocked five times. Zuckerberg uses the account to advertise his services and communicate with clients. However, the profile does not contain any photos of the Meta CEO.
A lawyer with 34 years of experience notes in the lawsuit that he began practicing law when the current head of Meta "was only three years old." According to his calculations, due to blocking, he lost more than 11 thousand spent on promoting the company on social networks. He was not refunded for the periods of freezing of the account.

The plaintiff reports that he has repeatedly contacted the support service since 2017, but the problem was not resolved, which led to legal proceedings.
Mark Zuckerberg, a lawyer, says he regularly faces inconveniences because of his name. This concerns restaurant reservations, calls to clients and public appearances. He created a separate website where he collects funny cases related to name confusion, including threats addressed to the wrong person.
In the court documents, the plaintiff also mentions that his website ranks first in search results for the query “Mark Zuckerberg bankruptcy.” The lawyer ironically notes that if the situation changes, he will “gladly” take on the case of his namesake.
