Turkmenistan and China have agreed to deepen cooperation in high technology, including artificial intelligence (AI). The agreement was reached during a meeting between Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and First Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Ding Xuexiang.
As reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, during the talks the head of state outlined specific proposals for developing cooperation in this area. They are based on the use of the potential of leading scientific and educational centers of Turkmenistan, such as the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences, the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University and the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics.
The parties also discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations, noting that one of their priority vectors is cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Within its framework, Turkmen students study at universities in China, and the teaching of the Chinese language is expanding in a number of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan. The Turkmen side confirmed its focus on further expanding cooperation in the fields of science, education and culture.
