Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova is taking part in the 20th Bled Strategic Forum, which is taking place from September 1 to 2 in the Slovenian city of Bled.
Within the framework of the forum, a meeting was held between the Turkmen diplomat and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Melita Gabrič. Following the talks, the Slovenian side confirmed its commitment to deepening bilateral relations with Turkmenistan.
"I was pleased to meet with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova on the sidelines of the Bled Strategic Forum," Melita Gabrić wrote on her X account.
She also noted that Slovenia is committed to deepening relations with Turkmenistan and welcomes the expansion of EU engagement with the Central Asian republic at a high level.
The Turkmen delegation at the forum also includes the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium Sapar Palvanov and other officials.
The Bled Strategic Forum is one of the leading international discussion platforms where representatives of political circles, business and civil society discuss current issues on the international agenda and prospects for the development of global cooperation.
