Earlier, we reported that a female delegation from Turkmenistan recently visited the People's Republic of China. On the first day of the visit, the head of the delegation, Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care Oguljahan Atabayeva held a number of meetings.
In particular, she met with the Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China, Hua Jinping, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality, Oguljahan Atabayeva noted that the education system is a very important area for Turkmenistan. In this regard, the parties expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to discuss issues of further expansion of Turkmen-Chinese relations in the field of science and education.
O. Atabayeva spoke about the activities of the Charity Fund. In order to provide comprehensive support to the younger generation, create favorable conditions for their happy life, and promote the restoration of health of children in need of care, it is planned to expand the scope of the organization's activities in Turkmenistan, in particular, to consider the possibility of working in the field of education. In this regard, interest was expressed in China's work in the field of education for children with disabilities.
The Minister of Education expressed full support for the foundation’s initiatives and expressed readiness for a broad dialogue on the exchange of methods and programs aimed at inclusive education and the integration of children with disabilities into society.
Then Oguljahan Atabayeva met with the Deputy Chairman of the National Health Committee of the People's Republic of China Zeng Yixin. During the meeting, interest was expressed in exploring the possibilities of cooperation with the People's Republic of China in the field of improving the professional level of medical workers. O. Atabayeva expressed readiness to study the Chinese side's experience in treating oncological and genetic diseases in children. In turn, the representative of the Chinese side confirmed readiness to exchange experience and conduct joint scientific research in these important areas, emphasizing the need for international cooperation in the fight against complex childhood diseases.
During the visit, members of the Turkmen delegation visited the Soong Ching Ling Chinese Youth Center for Scientific, Technical and Cultural Relations. Here, the guests were warmly welcomed by Ms. Shen Beili, Deputy Chairperson of the Soong Ching Ling Foundation of the People's Republic of China. The Turkmen delegation got acquainted with the modern teaching and upbringing methods in the kindergarten of the center, as well as with the conditions created for the harmonious development of children. After visiting the kindergarten, Oguljahan Atabayeva visited the "Innovation Space" department of the center.
During the tour of the center, women's costumes from the Ming and Qing dynasties were presented, and excerpts from Chinese opera were performed, allowing one to immerse themselves in the world of ancient Chinese art, which is distinguished by its originality.
