On September 1, Vincent Lorenzini will take up the post of head of the French Institute in Turkmenistan. This was announced on August 29 by the French Ambassador to Turkmenistan Philippe Merlin.
Mr. Lorenzini previously served as Head of Mission for the Ministry of Culture's "Langues de France" in Paris. He already has extensive experience: he held similar positions in Baku (Azerbaijan) and Iasi (Romania). Vincent Lorenzini speaks Russian and Turkish.
The Ambassador also noted that, starting next week, he will also be supported by the new cultural attaché, Ms. Mona Lerondel.
“The creation of this new position is a clear sign of France’s recognition of the modernization of our cooperation in Turkmenistan and its desire to see this momentum continue,” Philippe Merlin stressed.
Let us remind that the French Institute in Turkmenistan was headed by Roman Gouverné for 5 years.
